Job Requirements
- No prior retail experience required
- ability to lift 50 pounds
- ability to stand or walk 6-8 hours per 8-hour shift
- hand use including grasping, manipulation, pushing and pulling
- ability to bend, twist, squat, and reach
- exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
- exposure to varying temperatures including freezing and above 90 degrees Fahrenheit
- ability to work in wet and cold environments
- availability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to use tools and equipment including box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other machinery
- may require ladder use

Job Duties
- Checks out customer groceries efficiently and accurately
- upholds government regulations concerning sale of alcoholic beverages and taxation
- follows proper check, ATM, and credit procedures
- uses proper tares procedures when ringing up scalable items
- cleans and stocks Front End areas including own register
- follows all cash handling procedures meeting and exceeding regional cashier variance policy
- assists in training of new Cashier and Cashier Assistant Team Members
- helps control customer flow and reduce waiting times
- participates in company programs as directed
- arrives on time, groomed, dressed, and ready to work all scheduled shifts
- provides excellent customer service and models suggestive selling techniques
- maximizes sales potential through proper stocking and merchandising
- complies with health, sanitation, safe work practices, and Weights and Measures regulations
- maintains a clean and sanitary work and shopping environment
- performs opening, mid, and closing duties including ensuring pricing accuracy
- reports safety hazards and violations immediately
- performs other duties as assigned by leadership
- completes shopper training and may perform assigned shopper tasks within Customer Service Team
