Job Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • standing or walking 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday
  • hand use including single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
  • ability to perform motions such as bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
  • exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
  • exposure to temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit
  • ability to work in wet and cold environments
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to use tools and equipment including box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
  • may require use of ladders

Job Duties

  • Check out customer groceries efficiently and accurately
  • uphold government regulations concerning sale of alcoholic beverages and taxation
  • follow proper check, ATM, and credit procedures
  • use proper tares procedures when ringing up scalable items
  • clean and stock Front End areas including own register
  • follow all cash handling procedures meeting and exceeding regional cashier variance policy
  • assist with training of new cashier and cashier assistant team members
  • assist supervisor in controlling customer flow and backed up lines
  • proactively participate in company programs
  • arrive to workstation on time, appropriately groomed and dressed
  • provide excellent customer service and address customer needs promptly
  • maximize sales potential through stocking and merchandising
  • comply with established procedures including health and sanitation
  • maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment
  • perform opening, mid, and closing duties
  • immediately report safety hazards and violations
  • perform other duties as assigned by store or company leadership
