Job Requirements
- No prior retail experience required
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday
- Ability to use hand motions including single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
- Capability to perform bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching motions
- Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
- Ability to work in temperatures below 32 degrees Fahrenheit (freezing), 32-40 degrees Fahrenheit (refrigerators), and above 90 degrees Fahrenheit
- Ability to work in a wet and cold environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to use tools and equipment including box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
- May require use of ladders

Job Duties
- Check out customer groceries efficiently and accurately
- Uphold government regulations concerning sale of alcoholic beverages and taxation
- Follow proper check, ATM, and credit procedures
- Use proper tares procedures when ringing up scalable items
- Clean and stock Front End areas including own register, changing tapes and ribbon as necessary
- Follow all cash handling procedures meeting and exceeding regional cashier variance policy
- Assist with training of new Cashier and Cashier Assistant Team Members
- Assist supervisor in controlling customer flow and backed up lines to reduce customer waiting time
- Participate proactively in company programs as directed by leadership
- Arrive to workstation on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work
- Provide excellent customer service and address needs of customers in a timely and effective manner
- Maximize sales potential through effective procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product
- Follow and ensure compliance with established procedures including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices
- Maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment
- Perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned
- Report safety hazards and violations immediately
- Perform other duties as assigned by store or company leadership
- Complete shopper training and perform shopper tasks within the Customer Service Team as required
