Job Requirements
- No prior retail experience required
- ability to lift 50 pounds
- ability to stand or walk 6-8 hours per day
- ability to use hands for grasping, manipulation, pushing and pulling
- ability to bend, twist, squat and reach
- exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
- able to work in cold and wet environments
- flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
- ability to use tools and equipment including box cutters and pallet jacks
- may require ladder use

Job Duties
- Checks out customer groceries efficiently and accurately
- upholds government regulations concerning sale of alcoholic beverages and taxation
- follows proper check, ATM, and credit procedures
- uses proper tares procedures when ringing up scalable items
- cleans and stocks Front End areas, including own register
- follows all cash handling procedures
- assists with training new cashier and cashier assistant team members
- helps control customer flow and reduces waiting time
- participates in company programs
- arrives to work on time, groomed and ready
- provides excellent customer service and models suggestive selling
- answers phones and pages promptly
- maximizes sales through proper merchandising and stocking
- complies with health, sanitation, and safety procedures
- maintains clean and sanitary environment
- performs opening, mid, and closing duties
- reports safety hazards
- performs other duties as assigned
- completes shopper training and tasks as needed
