Job Duties
- Enter pre-payments into the point-of-sale system prior to breakfast and lunch service
- prepare the cash register for daily operations including setting up the cash drawer
- monitor dietary notes and alerts in the POS system to prevent food allergen exposure
- accurately ring sales for meals, milk, and à la carte items and handle money transactions
- apply National School Lunch, Breakfast, and Snack Program regulations to classify reimbursable meals
- assist with food preparation and service ensuring proper handling and storage temperatures
- inspect and maintain cleanliness and service standards at workstations
