Job Requirements

  • Work experience or training which includes the exchange of money for purchases and making change
  • Proven prior successful customer service experience
  • Some positions may require a food handler's card
  • Good understanding of math

  • Work experience or training including exchange of money for purchases and making change

  • High school diploma or GED certificate preferred
  • Two years cashiering experience preferred
  • ServSafe certificate preferred

Job Duties

  • Obtain previously counted cash from a central cashier supply and verify beginning amount
  • Receive monies or process credit card purchases for goods and services in dining areas or retail settings
  • Total purchases and collect correct amounts, issue parking tickets or event tickets and make accurate change
  • Greet customers, inform them of menu items, assist in decision making, and provide directions
  • Stock restaurant items and maintain cleanliness while not ringing customers
  • Participate in preparing simple recipes and perform food service worker duties including serving food and cleanup after events
  • Balance cash and other methods of payment to revenue at shift-end
