Job Requirements
- Minimum age 16
- Available to consistently work weekends and all holidays
- Able to lift and carry farm crates and produce boxes/bags (up to 25 lbs)
- Able to stand for long hours at a time
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Job Duties
- Provide excellent customer service and be the face of Phillips Farms
- Engage with customers, smile, and make eye contact
- Answer customers' questions thoughtfully and thoroughly
- Notify a supervisor of any customer complaints or concerns
- Ring up customer purchases, weigh produce, run the cash register, give correct change, and accurately process credit card transactions
- Count the money in the register drawer precisely at the beginning and end of the shift and recap all sales/transactions accurately
- Be up-to-date on product changes including price, sizes, and types
- Correctly identify fruits, vegetables, and plants when entering items into the system during a transaction
- Assist with set up and break down of the produce display as directed
- Sort through displayed produce and assist with restocking throughout the day
- Check to make sure every product has a clearly labeled price sign
- Water plants and hanging baskets as directed
- Remove dead leaves and keep all plants healthy-looking and ready for customer purchase
- Maintain a beautiful display
- Keep the farm market/PYO shed clean, swept, organized and well-stocked at all times
- Pick up garbage and debris in the parking and grass areas
- Gather shopping carts and wagons, fill hand-washing stations, maintain bathroom cleanliness, remove garbage and recycle boxes
- Closely follow guidelines to monitor for theft
- Maintain regular communication with your supervisor and advise of any out-of-the-ordinary situations or issues
- Perform new responsibilities and duties as assigned
- Complete daily checklists for opening, closing, and tasks throughout your shift
- Dress and groom according to company policy
- Remain in compliance with company shift coverage policy
- Communicate well and work cooperatively with coworkers and supervisors
