Job Requirements
- Must be able to perform mathematical operations related to job functions
- must have ability to identify various produce items and corresponding produce codes
- must enjoy working with the public
- must have good communication skills
- must have a friendly, courteous attitude and provide extraordinary customer service
- must exhibit a responsible, professional, and positive attitude towards the job, co-workers, and customers
- must have a positive attitude towards safety and be committed to follow all health and safety regulations and policies
- must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- must be able to transfer to other locations within a reasonable commute of home store
- ability to meet the physical requirements of the job
- must be able to speak, read, write and understand English
Job Qualifications
- No experience necessary
- willingness to learn and accept training
- preferred cash handling experience of six months to one year
- good communication skills
- ability to identify various produce items and correlate corresponding produce codes
- friendly, courteous attitude
- commitment to follow health and safety regulations
- ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- ability to transfer to other locations within a reasonable commute
Job Duties
- Smile and greet all customers while delivering extraordinary customer service
- respond to customers requests in locating products
- identify various fruits and vegetables and accurately apply produce codes
- adhere to all state laws and company policies on alcohol, tobacco, WIC, and EBT transactions
- accurately operate cash registers and follow money handling procedures
- balance till at the end of shift
- maintain a responsible, professional, and positive attitude toward the job, co-workers, and customers
