Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Retail cashier or customer service experience preferred, especially in a grocery environment
- Sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in a grocery store setting, including standing or sitting for prolonged periods, occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, twisting, and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements
- Ability to use step stools or ladders
- Ability to use proper PPE when using appliances and equipment
- Must be able to work in a busy grocery store environment with frequent customer interaction and regular interruptions
- Must be able to successfully complete a background check

Job Duties
- Provide accurate and efficient checkout by entering correct SKU, quantity, and weight information into the POS system
- Engage customers warmly and offer membership information during transactions
- Ask customers to Round Up for the monthly sponsored non-profit, reflecting our core values
- Follow all cash handling and check receiving procedures to maintain till accuracy
- Uphold state regulations concerning the sale of alcoholic beverages
- Support customers at self-checkout stations and assist with questions
- Manage challenging customer situations with calmness and professionalism, involving leadership when needed
- Help maintain a clean and orderly Front End, including the foyer, cart areas, eating spaces, and restrooms
- Balance customer service with tasks such as stocking and light cleaning to keep the department running smoothly
