Job Requirements
- Ability to spend up to 100% of working time standing walking and moving around the store
- Ability to regularly bend at the waist squat kneel climb carry reach and stoop
- Ability to occasionally push pull and lift more than 25 pounds
- Ability to use janitorial equipment rolling racks ladders and other assigned supplies
Job Qualifications
- Ability to communicate with customers associates and store leadership in a friendly respectful cooperative and pleasant manner
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments
- Ability to use all store equipment including phones registers and PC as required
- Flexibility to adapt and change duties as needed by store management
Job Duties
- Responsible for operating the cash register including ringing-up purchases handling cash checks and credit card sales providing correct change
- Responsible for the accuracy of cash register entries no excess overages shortages
- Maintain excellent and courteous relations with customers provide good customer service
- Assist in departmentalized stocking from direct donations assure store orderliness
- Keep display fixtures neat and orderly
- Collect carts ensure store cleanliness maintain public areas such as bathrooms cleaned and stocked
- Accurately schedule furniture deliveries as needed
- Answer phone provide information as needed
- Cross train in other departments as needed
- Complete all assigned training attend all mandatory meetings
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
