Job Requirements

  • some high school education
  • 0-1 years related work experience
  • six months to one year food service experience
  • basic computer literacy
  • rotating weekend availability
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • ability to stand and move throughout the shift
  • influenza vaccination as condition of employment

Job Qualifications

  • some high school education
  • certificate 1 serve safe preferred
  • 0-1 years related work experience
  • six months to one year food service experience
  • basic familiarity with computers and web-based applications
  • ability to make decisions following instructions and standard procedures
  • effective communication skills in English
  • ability to work collaboratively in a team
  • basic knowledge of food preparation practices
  • positive attitude and strong customer service skills

Job Duties

  • prepare protein salads vegetables fruits sandwiches and other food items as needed
  • finish baking frozen convenience food products
  • work in grill and pizza areas
  • operate cash register in cafeteria ensuring accuracy of drawer
  • plan prioritize and organize catering deliveries including setup and breakdown of events
  • serve food in cafeteria and restock work area
  • assemble patient meals according to room service orders using proper portions and prepare special diet trays
  • maintain sanitary conditions of catering equipment and food preparation areas
