Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- one to two years of experience providing administrative support and/or cashiering
- ability to provide high-quality customer service
- effective communication skills
- proven ability to learn new and changing computer applications
- ability to balance a cash drawer
- ability to work effectively as part of a small team and individually
- ability to remain calm under pressure and tolerate working in close proximity with other staff
- background check required
Job Qualifications

- one to two years of experience providing administrative support and/or cashiering
- ability to provide high-quality customer service and effective communication skills
- proven ability to learn new and changing computer applications
- ability to balance a cash drawer and work effectively as part of a small team and individually
- completion of post-secondary education course(s) in bookkeeping or accounting preferred
- prior cash handling work experience preferred
- knowledge of accounts receivable preferred
Job Duties
- Receive and receipt payments on student accounts made at the cashier window, by mail, or by drop box
- assist students in the use of the online payment system to view account balances, make payments, establish payment plans, or set up authorized users
- answer questions related to student accounts and Business Office processes and procedures via the phone, email and/or in person
- refer questions to other staff as appropriate
- reprint 1098-T tax forms when necessary and disburse with proper verification
- organize and disburse checks (obtaining signatures, proper ID, and date stamping check stubs/copies when appropriate) for excess financial aid
- process deposit forms and payments from University departments for a variety of goods and services
- notify departments of returned checks recorded in departmental deposits
- close and balance cash drawer daily against software program used for cashiering session report
- provide cashiering support for special events or sales on campus, reconcile funds received to document income, and credit to the appropriate department
- perform additional job-related duties as assigned or as appropriate
