Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to walk and climb as needed
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Preferred experience in cashiering
  • Preferred customer service experience
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Project a positive representation of Ace Retail Group
  • Greet customers and thank them by name when possible
  • Maintain a friendly and outgoing demeanor when interacting with customers and associates
  • Clear customer checkout lines quickly and efficiently
  • Answer and monitor calls and pages promptly and courteously
  • Communicate any issues requiring management assistance
  • Build product knowledge to assist customers with store layout and product locations
  • Assist in pricing, stocking, marking, and bagging merchandise
  • Follow all cash register transaction procedures
  • Balance register drawer at end of shifts
  • Implement store promotions at the register
  • Participate in store and Cashier meetings
  • Keep the front end and checkout areas neat and clean
  • Stock and face impulse counters and rotate merchandise seasonally
  • Ensure fresh advertisements are stocked in shopping carts
  • Maintain forms and supplies at checkout
  • Decorate front end according to company programs
  • Call for cart pickups when necessary
  • Inform management when merchandise returns need to be put away
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
