Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior cashier or retail experience preferred
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand frequently and lift up to 30 pounds
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced retail environment
- Reliable and punctual with regular attendance
Job Qualifications
- Basic math skills preferred
- Prior cashier or sales experience preferred
Job Duties
- Process member purchases in a courteous and friendly manner including verifying renewals and upgrades
- Promote and offer membership products including renewals and loyalty programs
- Scan merchandise accurately using point-of-sale system to ensure inventory accuracy
- Collect payments and issue receipts or change to members
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of frontline checkout area
- Assist members with self-checkout operations and technical issues
- Adhere to BJ’s club policies and procedures and support general store housekeeping as needed
