Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to handle cash and operate point-of-sale systems
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to stand and move frequently on hard surfaces
- Capable of lifting up to 30 pounds regularly and assisted lifting for heavier objects
- Maintain a friendly and positive attitude
- Comply with BJ’s policies and procedures
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Basic math skills preferred
- Prior cashier or sales experience preferred
Job Duties
- Process member purchases including verifying, renewing, upgrading and offering several types of membership products
- Scan merchandise and accept various forms of payments
- Provide excellent member service in an efficient and productive manner
- Maintain the cleanliness of the front-line department
- Assist members at self-checkout stations and manage scan and pan lanes
- Handle membership renewals, EASY renewal option, BJ’s Loyalty programs and rewards redemption
- Return re-sellable merchandise to the sales floor area
- Maintain all club policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned including working in other departments
- Ensure regular, predictable, full attendance
