Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to learn and understand BJ's membership options
- Ability to handle cash and operate point-of-sale systems
- Physical ability to frequently move, bend, reach, and occasional lifting up to 30 pounds
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
- Strong commitment to punctuality and attendance

Job Duties
- Process member purchases in a courteous and friendly manner
- Verify, renew, upgrade, and offer several types of membership products
- Scan merchandise and accept various forms of payments
- Provide excellent member service efficiently and productively
- Maintain cleanliness of the front-line department
- Assist at self-checkout stations and manage scan and pan lanes
- Handle cash, check, and charge payments and issue receipts or change
- Stay updated on merchandise promotions, advertisements, and product information
- Discount purchases by scanning and redeeming coupons
- Return resellable merchandise to the sales floor
- Meet cashier productivity expectations
- Maintain all club policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned including working in other departments as needed
- Ensure regular, predictable, full attendance
