Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior cashier or customer service experience preferred
- Ability to move frequently and stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift objects up to 30 pounds frequently and heavier with assistance
- Comfortable working in an indoor environment with occasional exposure to cleaning agents
- Reliable and punctual with full attendance
- Ability to work weekday shifts between 1pm and 9pm including weekends
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and operate point-of-sale systems
Job Qualifications
- Basic math skills preferred
- Prior cashier or sales experience preferred
Job Duties
- Process member purchases in a courteous and friendly manner
- Verify, renew, and upgrade memberships including offering loyalty programs
- Scan merchandise and operate point-of-sale systems to ensure accurate inventory and purchase totals
- Accept various forms of payment including cash, check, and electronic payments
- Provide high-level customer service and resolve member concerns efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-line department
- Assist members with self-checkout and scan and pan lanes
- Meet cashier productivity expectations
- Follow all club policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned including working in other departments
