Job Requirements
- Basic math skills preferred
- Prior cashier or sales experience preferred
- Ability to stand and move frequently on hard surfaces
- Ability to bend, handle, pull, reach, and stoop as needed
- Capability to lift objects up to 30 pounds frequently and heavier objects with assistance
- Availability for regular, predictable, full attendance
- Commitment to honesty, integrity, and member-first service
- Ability to communicate clearly and maintain a friendly, positive attitude

Job Duties
- Exhibits clear understanding of all BJ’s membership options, including the importance of renewals and upgrading to loyalty programs
- Offer all appropriate membership products such as membership renewal, EASY renewal option, BJ’s Loyalty programs and rewards redemption
- Provide a high level of customer service to members and check them out in a timely and efficient manner
- Scan all club merchandise through point-of-sale systems to ensure accurate inventory and purchase totals
- Collect payments via cash, check, or other forms
- Issue receipts or change due to members
- Maintain cleanliness of the frontline area and assist in general club housekeeping
- Return re-sellable merchandise to the sales floor
- Manage self-checkout and scan and pan lanes, assist members with operations and technical difficulties
- Meet cashier productivity expectations
- Maintain all club policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed
- Ensure regular, predictable, full attendance as an essential job function
