Job Requirements
- Ability to physically use a scanner and register keyboard for transactions
- ability to see and read product labels
- ability to communicate effectively with customers
- manual dexterity
- ability to quickly make appropriate change
- ability to stand for extended periods
- ability to bend, climb, and twist routinely
- must be able to lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds
- availability to work at least one weekend day
- availability for 16-28 hours per week
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior cashier or retail experience is an asset
- excellent communication skills
- strong customer service orientation
- ability to use POS systems and basic computer skills
- ability to stand for extended periods
- manual dexterity for handling cash and products
Job Duties
- Operate cash register (POS) with accuracy and efficiency
- handle merchandise returns and exchanges quickly and efficiently
- ask each customer for their Ace Rewards card or explain the program and invite them to join
- count the cash drawer to verify accuracy before each shift and balance the drawer at the end of the shift, documenting checks, cash, and credit cards
- address customer complaints in a positive manner and involve store management when necessary
