Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency degree
- 1-2 years grocery retail experience preferred
- previous experience in natural foods is a plus
- must maintain highest level of customer service
- capacity to take initiative
- flexibility to adapt to changing retail environment
- advanced attention to detail
- excellent communication skills
- knowledge of MS Office
- ability to multitask

- basic math skills
- ability to use POS system
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency degree
- preferred 1-2 years grocery retail experience in Front End department processes and procedures
- previous experience in a natural foods industry is a plus
- must maintain the highest level of customer service
- ability to adapt to a high volume retail cross-functional team environment
- capacity to take initiative when problems arise
- flexibility to adapt in various situations
- advanced attention to detail with capability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- excellent written communication and documentation skills
- excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- knowledge of MS Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel

- ability to work varied hours and days as business dictates
- basic knowledge of math, weights, and measures
- demonstrated ability to use a Point of Sale System (POS)
Job Duties
- Walks the store prior to each shift to ensure awareness of promotional and sale items
- compute bill, itemized lists, and tickets showing amount due
- receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, gift cards, or automatic debits
- issue receipts, refunds, credits, rain checks or change due to customers
- operate cash register by scanning price coded items, entering PLU or UPC manually, compiling printed lists and displaying purchase cost
- greet customers entering store and respond promptly to customer needs
- maintain clean and orderly checkout areas ensuring no personnel items are present
- issue coupons and rain checks
- perform other duties as assigned
