Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 1-3 months of cashiering experience preferred
- Ability to work varied hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Ability to perform basic math such as computing rate, ratio and percent
- Ability to read and write simple correspondence
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to follow safety procedures
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand, bend, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push and pull
- Availability to work minimum two evenings per week and up to three weekends per month
- Commitment to customer service excellence
- Willingness to maintain professional appearance according to dress code
- Positive team mentality and ability to work well with others
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Greet all customers when entering and exiting the store
- Promote the Scheels Visa Rewards card and be able to clearly explain all benefits
- Accurately balance cash drawer at the end of the day
- Maintain a clean working environment and personal workspace
- Engage in conversation with the customer to add a personal touch to each transaction
- End each transaction by saying thank you to every customer
- Maintain a professional appearance on the sales floor
- Contribute to a work environment that fosters pride and promotes personal growth
- Perform basic math including computing rate, ratio and percent
- Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Write simple correspondence
- Present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations
- Demonstrate strong communication, organization, attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Exercise judgment and tact when working with customers or coworkers
- Work assigned schedules including varied hours, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Assist in all other duties as assigned
