Job Duties
- Operate cash register and electronic scanner to itemize customer purchases
- process financial transactions accurately including cash, checks, credit cards, food stamps, WIC, loyalty cards, gift certificates, rain checks, voids, and coupons
- weigh and bag customer purchases carefully
- maintain and merchandise check-stand items such as newspapers, periodicals, and candy
- ensure proper use of product identification and report pricing or signage errors
- communicate store programs, in-store specials, and coupons to customers
- comply with cash handling, security, product handling, and safety policies
