Job Duties
- receives payment by cash, vouchers, or automatic debits
- issues receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers
- assists with preparation and packaging of food items
- ensures food temperature and portion sizes are appropriate
- stocks and rotates food items displayed for sale on the serving line
- maintains clean and orderly checkout areas and completes other general cleaning duties such as cleaning serving area and storing unused food items
- stocks shelves and marks prices
- answers customers' questions and provides information on procedures or policies
- assists customers by providing information and resolving their complaints
- processes returns and exchanges
- identifies prices of goods and tabulates bills using cash registers or optical price scanners
- balances sales to monies received
- completes reports
