Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- No experience required
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Available to work various shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic personality
- Ability to learn product and service information
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to handle cash and monetary transactions accurately
Job Qualifications
- Product knowledge
- Knowledge of Point-of-Sale systems
- Retail or relevant work experience preferred but not required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers, peers, and management
- Ability to communicate on the telephone with proper etiquette
- Basic math functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to use a calculator and calculate percentages
- Ability to make change in American monetary units
- Ability to multi-task and remain attentive to customers
- Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independently
Job Duties
- Proactively engage and make a connection with customers
- Ask questions and listen to customers' needs
- Direct customers to merchandise and inform them about upcoming events, promotions, mobile offers, and loyalty programs
- Provide premier customer service
- Cooperate and build positive, inclusive, and respectful relationships
- Maintain check-out area appearance
- Move and re-stock bags, packaging materials, and labels
- Interact with customers to ensure they found everything needed
- Make suggestions on latest trends and current promotions
- Use Point-of-Sales system to process transactions including cash, discounts, gift cards, credit and debit cards
- Maintain change funds and accounts for sales receipts
- Complete paperwork, reports, and reconciliations
- Manage merchandise inventory, ensure proper check-in and ticketing
- Participate in periodic inventories
- Adhere to assigned work schedule and accurately complete work assignments
- Perform other duties as assigned
