Job Requirements
- Graduation from a high school
- one year of experience in cash handling
- must have a current valid Texas motor vehicle operator's license
- must be able to be insured by the county's insurance carrier

Job Duties
- Collects payments by accepting cash, making change and/or charge card for services, fees, etc.
- balances drawer for counting cash at beginning and end of work shift
- maintains checkout operations by following county policies and procedures
- maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- provides information by answering questions and requests
- resolves conflicts with credit card companies regarding non-transmission of data
- may handle problems with patrons
- may supervise other cashiers in training
