Job Requirements
- Graduation from high school
- two years of clerical experience with cash handling
- ability to operate cash registers and office machines
- proficient in arithmetic computations
- ability to maintain detailed financial records
- strong communication skills
- ability to work with the public
- meet health and physical condition standards
- available for possible in-person interviews and additional testing
- willingness to learn applicable laws and procedures

Job Duties
- Receives over-the-counter and mail payments for bills and charges
- issues receipts and makes change
- tallies cash and verifies against remittances
- computes and assesses penalties on delinquent accounts
- balances and prepares daily cash reports
- verifies cash remittances and related documents
- keeps records of collections and prepares bank deposit slips
- segregates receipts into revenue accounts and credits them
