Job Requirements
- Must be flexible to work assigned schedule between 9 am and 9 pm Monday through Saturday and 10 am to 6 pm on Sundays
- availability to work a minimum of two weekends a month
- ability to work varied hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- ability to sit, stand, bend, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull, lift up to 50 pounds, talk and hear
- ability to maintain a clean and professional work environment
- good oral and written communication skills
- ability to perform basic math
- demonstrate pride and ownership of work and meet deadlines
- willing to assist in all other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 1-3 months of cashiering experience
- strong communication skills
- ability to perform basic math including rate, ratio, and percent
- effective presentation skills in one-on-one or small group settings
- strong organizational and problem solving skills
- ability to adapt to changing work environments
- ability to follow dress and grooming standards
Job Duties
- Greet all customers when entering and exiting the store
- promote the Scheels Visa Rewards card and clearly explain all benefits
- accurately balance cash drawer at the end of the day
- maintain a clean working environment and personal workspace
- engage in conversation with customers to add a personal touch to transactions
- end each transaction by saying thank you
- maintain a professional appearance on the sales floor
