Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Retail cashier or customer service experience preferred, especially in a grocery environment
  • Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods
  • Capability to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, twist, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements
  • Willingness to use step stools or ladders safely
  • Must be able to complete a background check
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Provide accurate and efficient checkout by entering correct SKU, quantity, and weight information into the POS system
  • Engage customers warmly and offer membership information during transactions
  • Ask customers to Round Up for the monthly sponsored non-profit, reflecting core values
  • Follow all cash handling and check receiving procedures to maintain till accuracy
  • Uphold state regulations concerning the sale of alcoholic beverages
  • Support customers at self-checkout stations and assist with questions
  • Manage challenging customer situations with calmness and professionalism, involving leadership when needed
  • Help maintain a clean and orderly Front End, including the foyer, cart areas, eating spaces, and restrooms
  • Balance customer service with tasks such as stocking and light cleaning to keep the department running smoothly
