Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Six months of food and nutrition experience preferred
- Ability to operate computerized cash register
- Ability to securely handle cash and verify numbers
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physical ability to stand and walk for over 4 hours
- Ability to lift, push, and pull food supplies up to 30 pounds
- Willingness to follow sanitation and safety procedures
- Ability to use personal protective equipment
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Understanding of basic dietary principles preferred
- Successful completion of all 10 modules of customer service training required
- Six months of food and nutrition experience, preferably in a hospital setting
- Ability to read, write, and understand English
- Demonstrated outstanding interpersonal and customer relations skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and utilize independent judgment
- Proficiency in operating computerized cash registers and handling cash
- Knowledge of basic cash management and customer service procedures
- Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies
Job Duties
- Operate computerized cash register and peripheral equipment to process food and beverage sales
- Accurately handle cash, make change, and process charge transactions
- Provide excellent customer service by acknowledging, greeting, and thanking customers
- Maintain cash drawer and impress fund verification with supervisor
- Develop and maintain knowledge of cafeteria products, prices, and item locations
- Assist in setting up equipment and supplies for food service
- Follow sanitation and personal hygiene guidelines to ensure food safety
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and adhere to clean as you go policy
