Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in customer service or cash handling is advantageous
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Basic math skills required
  • Strong communication skills required
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment screening
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to operate point-of-sale systems

  • Understand and comply with all company and departmental rules and regulations, policies and procedures
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff
  • Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English
  • Ability to perform basic math
  • Ability to understand the concept of cash handling, making change and counting it back to customers

Job Duties

  • Greet every guest with a smile and positive attitude
  • Take orders from guests and prepare orders when applicable
  • Responsible for correctly handling cash, credit and comp procedures and properly completing paperwork
  • Utilize proper procedures and documentation for transactions
  • Ensure bank is counted and balanced with cage
  • Complete cash turn-in sheets and distribute appropriately
  • Possess complete knowledge of all procedures related to the job
  • Ensure that all guests are treated in a prompt, professional and courteous manner
  • Know the menu items and prices
  • Know how to operate the Micros system in order to properly ring up and close out checks
  • Uphold standards by setting examples with appearance and work ethic
  • Work to ensure a clean and sanitary work area at all times
  • Maintain a constant awareness of safety and accident prevention, performing all job duties in the safest possible manner and immediately notifying the supervisor and completing an accident report if a personal accident does occur
  • Perform other duties specified or assigned
  • Comply with all departmental rules, side work assignments, and departmental procedures
