Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- No experience required
- Ability to stand for at least two consecutive hours
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs and up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Availability to work a variety of hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic personality
Job Qualifications
- Product knowledge
- Knowledge of Point-of-Sale systems
- Retail or relevant work experience preferred but not required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, peers, and management
- Proper telephone etiquette
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentage calculations
- Ability to make change in American monetary units
- Ability to multi-task and remain flexible
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Proactively engage and make a connection with customers
- Ask questions and listen to customers needs
- Direct customers to merchandise and inform them about events, promotions, mobile offers, and STAR card
- Provide premier customer service
- Cooperate and build positive, inclusive, and respectful relationships
- Maintain check-out area appearance
- Move and re-stock bags, packaging materials, and labels
- Interact with customers to ensure their needs are met
- Suggest trends and promotions based on customer needs
- Use a Point-of-Sales system to process various payment methods accurately
- Maintain change funds and sales receipts accounts
- Complete paperwork, reports, and reconciliation
- Manage inventory processes, check-in, and ticket merchandise accurately
- Participate in periodic inventories
- Adhere to assigned work schedule
- Complete other duties as assigned
