Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • No experience required
  • Ability to stand for at least two consecutive hours
  • Ability to lift at least 25 lbs and up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Availability to work a variety of hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic personality

Job Qualifications

  • Product knowledge
  • Knowledge of Point-of-Sale systems
  • Retail or relevant work experience preferred but not required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, peers, and management
  • Proper telephone etiquette
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentage calculations
  • Ability to make change in American monetary units
  • Ability to multi-task and remain flexible
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Proactively engage and make a connection with customers
  • Ask questions and listen to customers needs
  • Direct customers to merchandise and inform them about events, promotions, mobile offers, and STAR card
  • Provide premier customer service
  • Cooperate and build positive, inclusive, and respectful relationships
  • Maintain check-out area appearance
  • Move and re-stock bags, packaging materials, and labels
  • Interact with customers to ensure their needs are met
  • Suggest trends and promotions based on customer needs
  • Use a Point-of-Sales system to process various payment methods accurately
  • Maintain change funds and sales receipts accounts
  • Complete paperwork, reports, and reconciliation
  • Manage inventory processes, check-in, and ticket merchandise accurately
  • Participate in periodic inventories
  • Adhere to assigned work schedule
  • Complete other duties as assigned
