Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Basic knowledge of Point-of-Sale systems
- Ability to perform basic math functions
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task and work independently
- Availability to work varied hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- No prior experience required
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of Point-of-Sale systems
- Retail or relevant work experience preferred but not required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to read, write and interpret instructional documents
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers, peers, and management
- Ability to communicate on the telephone with proper etiquette
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to use a calculator and calculate percentages
- Must be able to make change in American monetary units
- Ability to multi-task while being attentive to customers
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic with a desire to provide outstanding service

Job Duties
- Proactively engage and make a connection with customers
- Ask questions and listen to customer needs
- Direct customers to merchandise and inform them about upcoming events, promotions, and mobile offers
- Provide premier customer service
- Cooperate and build positive, inclusive, and respectful relationships
- Maintain check-out area appearance
- Move and re-stock bags, packaging materials, and labels
- Interact with customers to ensure they found everything they needed
- Make suggestions to customers on latest trends and promotions
- Use Point-of-Sales system to process cash exchanges, discounts, gift cards, credit and debit cards
- Handle cash including counting money and returning accurate amounts
- Maintain change funds and sales receipts
- Complete paperwork, reports, and reconciliation
- Manage inventory processes to ensure merchandise is properly checked in and ticketed
- Participate in periodic inventories
- Adhere to assigned work schedules
- Accurately follow through on work assignments
- Perform other duties as assigned
