Job Requirements

  • Minimum education level high school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to use point of sale systems
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Open availability including holidays and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is an asset
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills

Job Duties

  • Use proper telephone etiquette to answer and direct calls
  • Demonstrate proper order taking techniques including gathering required guest information
  • Take guest orders in person or by phone in a friendly and courteous manner
  • Maintain complete knowledge of the menu and all takeout specials
  • Handle point of sale system efficiently from ringing in orders to accepting payments
  • Uphold strict cash handling procedures and be accountable for all transactions daily
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and health and safety standards
  • Open and close the takeout area following all checklists
  • Execute all prep and portion lists for the day
  • Package and organize takeout orders according to company guidelines
  • Verify order accuracy while packaging hot and cold food appropriately
  • Maintain personal health and sanitation standards
  • Maintain a clean uniform and professional appearance
  • Lift up to 40 pounds and work in a standing position for long periods
  • Work effectively in a fast paced and hot environment
  • Respond to guest complaints by involving appropriate management
  • Communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and serving staff
