Job Requirements

  • Completion of high school or equivalent preferred
  • basic literacy and numerical skills
  • ability to read and interpret merchandising schematics, instructions, policy, procedural, and training manuals
  • some experience working with people/public preferred
  • experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environments a plus
  • ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs and occasionally up to 55 lbs
  • adequate fitness level for frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Greets and assists customers in a positive, approachable manner
  • handles situations with the best interest of both the customer and Company in mind
  • maintains positive Company image to customers and community
  • accurately handles customer funds and processes transactions using the POS system
  • at the direction of the Store Manager, stocks shelves and recovers merchandise in the store
  • at the direction of the Store Manager, assists in unloading merchandise from delivery truck, organizes merchandise, and transfers merchandise from stockroom to store
  • at the direction of the Store Manager, assists in maintaining a clean, well-stocked store for customers
  • assists Store Manager in loss prevention by being aware of customers while they are in the store and providing excellent customer service
  • follows all Company Policies and Procedures
  • all other duties as assigned
