Job Requirements

  • Must complete a background investigation with favorable results
  • must be able to work shift work including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special situations
  • must be able to provide REAL ID or authorized identity documents for installation access
  • must have experience in clerical or cashier work
  • must have ability to handle cash responsibilities
  • must meet all eligibility, qualification, and residency requirements
  • must comply with selective service registration if applicable
  • direct deposit is required
  • must satisfactorily complete employment verification (E-Verify)
  • may be required to complete a probationary period
  • pre-employment requirements must be met prior to entrance on duty

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in responsible clerical or office work including ability to perform common arithmetic problems and making change when receiving payments
  • experience in cash handling including receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit, or other processing of cash items with direct handling and use of cash accountability controls
  • ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • skill in dealing with the public
  • applicants may include military spouses, veterans, and transition preferences
  • must meet experience requirements described
  • experience also includes unpaid work and volunteer work credited
  • no education substitution allowed for experience requirements

Job Duties

  • Operates the cash register, rings up the sale, receives money and makes change, processes credit card sale, or charges to member's account
  • clears the cash register and turns over cash and supporting documents as instructed at the end of each tour of duty
  • conducts daily inventories
  • maintains area in clean and orderly condition
  • performs check-out duties such as ringing up food, beverages, and merchandise by individual item in a food activity
  • assists in setting up the serving line, replenishes beverage dispensers, and coordinates with kitchen staff to replenish buffet line
  • receives patrons' meal checks and rings up sales in a restaurant setting
  • performs other related duties as assigned
