Job Duties
- Process all payment methods according to procedures and accounting policies
- comply with auditing standards for hotel control and cash handling procedures
- obtain and secure assigned cash box ensuring accuracy and adequate change
- compute cash box at end of shift, complete cashier reports, resolve discrepancies, and secure cash box
- transport cash box to and from assigned workstation
- install and organize cashier workstation with supplies, forms, and resources
- maintain cleanliness of workstation
- complete opening tasks including organizing supplies and ensuring functionality
- comply with safety and security policies and report accidents or unsafe conditions
- maintain professional appearance and confidentiality
- greet guests according to standards, anticipate and attend to their service needs
- communicate clearly and professionally with others and handle phone calls properly
- maintain positive work relationships and support team objectives
- ensure compliance with quality standards
- enter and retrieve work-related information using computers and point-of-sale systems
- stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
- move, lift, transport, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds
- perform other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors
