Job Requirements

  • some high school education
  • 0-1 years related work experience
  • six months to one year of food service experience
  • basic computer skills
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently
  • ability to stand and move during most of the shift
  • willingness to receive influenza vaccination
  • ability to follow safety instructions and work under supervision.

  • Some high school education
  • certificate 1 Serve Safe preferred
  • 0-1 years of related work experience
  • six months to one year of food service experience
  • basic familiarity with computers
  • ability to navigate basic web-based applications
  • ability to follow instructions and procedures
  • good communication skills in English
  • capability to work in a team
  • customer service orientation.

Job Duties

  • Plate and portion food according to menu standards
  • prepare protein salads, vegetables, fruits, sandwiches
  • finish baking frozen convenience food products
  • work in grill and pizza areas
  • operate cash register in the cafeteria ensuring drawer accuracy
  • plan and prioritize catering deliveries
  • organize food and equipment for functions
  • prepare sandwiches, salads, baked goods as needed
  • deliver items to event locations and handle setup and break-down
  • communicate catering needs to production and supervisory staff
  • maintain sanitary condition of catering equipment
  • set up designated stations with proper utensils and plates
  • serve food in the cafeteria
  • monitor and report menu item supply levels
  • break down serving stations after meal service
  • restock work areas
  • assemble patient meals through Room Service Dining system following special tray procedures
  • prepare food items to par levels ahead of peak meal periods.
