Job Requirements
- Arrives in proper uniform and adheres to all grooming standards
- Sets up station according to cafe guidelines
- Prepares all food items in a sanitary and timely manner
- Follows portion control and presentation specifications
- Restocks all items as needed throughout shift
- Cleans and maintains station following safety, sanitation, and organization standards
- Demonstrates knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment
- Prepares dishes for customers with allergies or intolerance
- Ensures food quality and safety by performing standard sanitary measures
- Works at an efficient and consistent pace
- Exhibits knowledge of serving food, sanitation, and safe food handling
- Communicates effectively and listens well
- Follows all cash handling procedures
- Assists in financial accountability by correctly recording orders and handling cash
- Thanks customers and invites them to return
- Acts as a role model for customers and staff
- Helps train new barista/cashiers
- Works collaboratively to support operations and uphold standards
- Demonstrates excellent communication and listening skills

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience as a cashier or sandwich artist preferred but not required
- Strong customer service skills
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation principles
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks with minimal supervision
- Flexible availability including weekends
- Basic math skills for cash handling
Job Duties
- Balance the cash drawer
- Make change and enter purchases
- Greet customers and provide excellent customer service
- Prepare food items as directed following sanitation standards
- Restock items throughout the shift
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the station
- Follow all cash handling procedures
- Record orders correctly and count drawer accurately
- Assist in training new baristas and cashiers
- Suggestive sell and inform customers of products and promotions
