Job Duties

  • Greet and engage customers actively
  • Process customer transactions quickly and accurately
  • Use the Point of Sale system to handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, and coupons
  • Adhere to company policies on restricted sale items and cash handling
  • Report pricing discrepancies and follow procedures for stamps, gift cards, and coupons
  • Stay updated with current and seasonal promotions and ads
  • Maintain food safety and store safety procedures
  • Conduct preventive maintenance checks and report equipment issues
  • Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers with product inquiries
  • Comply with local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
  • Manage conflict in a nonconfrontational manner
  • Act honestly and with integrity regarding customer and business information
  • Provide assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
