Job Duties
- Greet and engage customers actively
- Process customer transactions quickly and accurately
- Use the Point of Sale system to handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, and coupons
- Adhere to company policies on restricted sale items and cash handling
- Report pricing discrepancies and follow procedures for stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Stay updated with current and seasonal promotions and ads
- Maintain food safety and store safety procedures
- Conduct preventive maintenance checks and report equipment issues
- Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers with product inquiries
- Comply with local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
- Manage conflict in a nonconfrontational manner
- Act honestly and with integrity regarding customer and business information
- Provide assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
