Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous retail or cashier experience preferred
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods (up to 8 hours)
- Ability to lift, pull, or push up to 50 pounds
- Ability to bend, squat, and stoop
- Punctual
- Free from drug and alcohol abuse
- Able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis
Job Qualifications
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Read, write, speak and understand English
- Ability to operate available equipment such as cash registers, calculators, or scanners
- Basic mathematical skills needed to make change and give refunds
- Knowledgeable about company's mission and services, and customer-related policies
- Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis
Job Duties
- Greets customers as they enter the location
- Accepts money in the form of cash and credit or debit cards for items purchased
- Identifies prices of products and services and tabulates bills with available equipment
- Assists customers with questions or price discrepancies
- Ensures accurate transactions
- Bag, box, and wrap purchased items
- Understands ticket rotation
- Assists customers in locating various products, resolving complaints, or providing information
- Stocks merchandise
- Responsible for a neat, clean and organized store
- Performs other related duties as assigned that would lead to successful operation of department, team, and/or mission
