Job Duties

  • Be visible and actively greet, engage and assist customers
  • Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
  • Handle various payment types including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, coupons, and loyalty offers
  • Adhere to company policies on cash handling, restricted sales, and checkout procedures
  • Report pricing discrepancies and follow established policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
  • Stay current with store promotions, seasonal ads, and food safety regulations
  • Maintain safety awareness by complying with procedures, identifying hazards, and notifying management
  • Inspect equipment regularly and report maintenance needs
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering product-related questions and creating a welcoming environment
  • Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful atmosphere
  • Manage conflicts reasonably and professionally
  • Act with honesty and integrity concerning customer and business information
  • Follow directions and seek assistance when needed
  • Support customers including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
  • Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
