Job Duties
- Greet, engage and assist customers actively
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently
- Handle various tenders such as cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons and loyalty offers according to company policy
- Adhere to company policies on cash shortages, overages and restricted sale items
- Report pricing discrepancies and equipment issues
- Follow established procedures for gift cards, coupons, and postage stamps
- Stay current with store advertisements and promotions
- Maintain food safety compliance and shop safety programs
- Create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions
- Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment managing conflict reasonably
- Uphold honesty and integrity in all customer and business dealings
- Provide direct support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
