Job Requirements

Customer service experience
Effective communication skills
Knowledge of basic math including counting, addition and subtraction
Prior experience as a bagger or courtesy clerk is desired
Ability to work cooperatively in a high-paced and stressful environment
Ability to manage conflict reasonably and nonconfrontationally
Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation

Job Duties

Greeting, engaging and assisting customers actively
Processing customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently through the check lane
Handling various tenders such as cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons and following company policies
Controlling loss by adhering to cash shortage and overage limits and company guidelines
Reporting pricing discrepancies and following established coupon and gift card policies
Staying current with seasonal and special ads
Adhering to all food safety regulations and safety procedures
Inspecting equipment and reporting repair needs
Creating a welcoming environment by answering customer questions
Following all local, state, federal laws and company guidelines
Managing conflict in a reasonable and cooperative manner
Acting with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
Seeking assistance when necessary to resolve issues
Providing support to minors, individuals with special needs and older adults
Performing essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
