Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- at least one year of Cashier experience
- strong attention to detail
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- good communication skills
- basic computer literacy
- ability to handle financial transactions responsibly
Job Qualifications
- minimum one year of Cashier experience
- strong customer service skills
- ability to handle high volume transactions accurately
- effective communication skills
- leadership experience or potential
- knowledge of retail point of sale systems
- ability to train and mentor others
Job Duties
- provide customers with fast, friendly, accurate and safe service
- process checkout and return transactions
- monitor and maintain the Self-Checkout area
- seek product and project knowledge to provide customers with information and identify selling opportunities
- follow all policies and procedures to minimize shrink
- position Cashiers and support them by expediting price checks
- approve Point of Sale transactions and markdowns for mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental
- provide first level escalation for customer issues
- assist in the supervision, coaching and training of Front End Associates
- participate in the training of new Cashiers and use available tools to coach and develop other Cashiers
