Job Duties

Greet, engage and assist customers actively
process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
operate the Point of Sale (POS) system and handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, and coupons
adhere to company policies on cash handling, cash shortages or overages, and restricted sales items
report pricing discrepancies and follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards and coupons
stay current with ads and promotions
comply with all food safety regulations and safety procedures
identify unsafe conditions and notify management
perform preventive maintenance and notify management of needed repairs
create a welcoming environment for customers by answering product-related questions
follow all local, state, federal laws and company guidelines
work cooperatively in high-paced and sometimes stressful environments
manage conflict in a reasonable and cooperative manner
act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
follow directions and seek assistance when necessary
provide support through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
