Job Duties

  • Greet, engage and assist customers actively
  • process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
  • operate the Point of Sale (POS) system and handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, and coupons
  • adhere to company policies on cash handling, cash shortages or overages, and restricted sales items
  • report pricing discrepancies and follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards and coupons
  • stay current with ads and promotions
  • comply with all food safety regulations and safety procedures
  • identify unsafe conditions and notify management
  • perform preventive maintenance and notify management of needed repairs
  • create a welcoming environment for customers by answering product-related questions
  • follow all local, state, federal laws and company guidelines
  • work cooperatively in high-paced and sometimes stressful environments
  • manage conflict in a reasonable and cooperative manner
  • act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
  • follow directions and seek assistance when necessary
  • provide support through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
  • perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
