Job Duties
- Greet, engage, and assist customers actively
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- Handle various payment types including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, and coupons according to company policy
- Control cash shortages and overages honestly to prevent loss
- Adhere to guidelines for restricted sales such as alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs
- Report pricing discrepancies and follow policies for gift cards, postage stamps, and coupons
- Stay updated on current, future, seasonal, and special promotions
- Comply with all food safety regulations and guidelines
- Identify unsafe conditions and notify management while following safety procedures
- Inspect store equipment for preventive maintenance and report repair needs
- Provide a welcoming environment by answering customer questions about products
- Follow all local, state, federal laws, and company guidelines
- Manage conflict in a cooperative and nonconfrontational manner
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Follow directions and seek help to resolve issues
- Support minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults through direct interaction
- Perform essential job functions with or without accommodation
