  • Experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk is preferred

  • Commitment to safety and adherence to laws and policies

Job Duties

  • Greet, engage, and assist customers actively
  • Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
  • Handle various payment types including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, and coupons according to company policy
  • Control cash shortages and overages honestly to prevent loss
  • Adhere to guidelines for restricted sales such as alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs
  • Report pricing discrepancies and follow policies for gift cards, postage stamps, and coupons
  • Stay updated on current, future, seasonal, and special promotions
  • Comply with all food safety regulations and guidelines
  • Identify unsafe conditions and notify management while following safety procedures
  • Inspect store equipment for preventive maintenance and report repair needs
  • Provide a welcoming environment by answering customer questions about products
  • Follow all local, state, federal laws, and company guidelines
  • Manage conflict in a cooperative and nonconfrontational manner
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
  • Follow directions and seek help to resolve issues
  • Support minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults through direct interaction
  • Perform essential job functions with or without accommodation
