Job Duties

  • Greet, engage, and assist customers actively
  • process transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the point of sale
  • handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, and coupons according to policy
  • control loss by adhering to cash shortage limits and honesty standards
  • manage sales of restricted items following guidelines
  • report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
  • follow procedures for stamps, gift cards, and coupons
  • keep updated with current, seasonal, and special ads
  • comply with all food safety regulations
  • adhere to safety programs and identify unsafe conditions
  • perform preventive maintenance checks and report repair needs
  • provide product information and create a welcoming environment for customers
  • follow all local, state, federal laws and company guidelines
  • work cooperatively in a high-paced environment
  • manage conflict reasonably and cooperatively
  • act with integrity regarding customer and business information
  • seek assistance when necessary to resolve issues
  • support minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults through direct interaction
  • perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
