Job Duties
- Greet, engage, and assist customers actively
- process transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the point of sale
- handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, and coupons according to policy
- control loss by adhering to cash shortage limits and honesty standards
- manage sales of restricted items following guidelines
- report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
- follow procedures for stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- keep updated with current, seasonal, and special ads
- comply with all food safety regulations
- adhere to safety programs and identify unsafe conditions
- perform preventive maintenance checks and report repair needs
- provide product information and create a welcoming environment for customers
- follow all local, state, federal laws and company guidelines
- work cooperatively in a high-paced environment
- manage conflict reasonably and cooperatively
- act with integrity regarding customer and business information
- seek assistance when necessary to resolve issues
- support minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults through direct interaction
- perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
