Job Duties
- Greet, engage, and assist customers actively
- Process customer transactions quickly and accurately using the Point of Sale system
- Handle various payment methods such as cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, and coupons in accordance with company policy
- Adhere to company limits on cash shortages and overages and work to control loss
- Follow guidelines for restricted sales items and report pricing discrepancies
- Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and store safety procedures
- Identify unsafe conditions and notify management
- Inspect equipment for maintenance needs and report issues
- Provide a welcoming environment by answering product questions
- Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
- Manage conflicts peacefully and professionally
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Follow directions and seek assistance when needed
- Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- Perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
