Job Duties

  • Greet, engage, and assist customers actively
  • Process customer transactions quickly and accurately using the Point of Sale system
  • Handle various payment methods such as cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, and coupons in accordance with company policy
  • Adhere to company limits on cash shortages and overages and work to control loss
  • Follow guidelines for restricted sales items and report pricing discrepancies
  • Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and store safety procedures
  • Identify unsafe conditions and notify management
  • Inspect equipment for maintenance needs and report issues
  • Provide a welcoming environment by answering product questions
  • Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
  • Manage conflicts peacefully and professionally
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
  • Follow directions and seek assistance when needed
  • Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
  • Perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
