Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours
- Ability to bend, twist, and perform repetitive motions
- Ability to lift and carry 10-40 lbs
- Ability to push and pull shopping carts
- Ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity
- Ability to work in moderate to high noise environment
- Ability to use computer keyboard and touchscreen
- Reliable and punctual
- Positive and self-motivated
Job Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to provide friendly customer service
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to learn and recall PLUs and co-op policies
- Experience with cash handling and POS systems preferred
- Clear and confident communication skills
- Basic familiarity with natural foods or willingness to learn
- Ability to explain membership structure
Job Duties
- Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service
- Answer questions about products and co-op services
- Explain co-op membership benefits
- Take and retrieve special orders accurately
- Assist customers with returns and account updates
- Process transactions with accuracy using POS system
- Memorize and enter price look-up codes for produce
- Ensure items are scanned and bagged properly
- Report pricing or labeling discrepancies
- Follow cash handling procedures
- Maintain clean and organized workstations
- Retrieve and organize shopping carts
- Clean front-end areas including check stands and bagging stations
- Follow shift-specific side work and closing routines
- Support center store with stocking and shelf conditioning
- Facilitate smooth department communication and teamwork
- Participate in team meetings and training
- Perform other duties as assigned
