Job Duties

Greet and engage customers actively in a friendly manner
Process customer transactions quickly and accurately using the point of sale system
Handle various payment methods including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, and coupons according to company policy
Adhere to company limits on cash shortages and manage loss prevention effectively
Follow guidelines on restricted items sales such as alcohol and tobacco
Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
Comply with established policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
Stay updated with current and upcoming ads and promotions
Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
Notify management of unsafe conditions or equipment in need of repair
Create a welcoming environment by answering customer inquiries
Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment
Manage conflicts in a reasonable and nonconfrontational way
Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
Follow directions and seek assistance as needed to resolve issues
